REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Regenerative Medicine is a broad definition for innovative medical treatments that will replace, restore, stimulate damaged tissues to heal. Despite its infancy, it is not a new medical field. Platelet-Rich-Plasma treatment (PRP) was first used in 1987 by Ferrari et al. in order to seal a surgical incision during open heart surgery.  Ever since, numerous publications in the human literature documented the safe and successful use in of PRP in oral surgery, periodontology, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, wound healing, bone healing, joint replacements and sports injuries. The clinical use of PRP has outpaced the scientific studies and large-scale clinical trials qualifying its advantageous use.

Other than PRP, Regenerative Medicine involves Adipose Stem Cell therapy, Autologous Conditioned Serum therapy and Prolotherapy.

TREATMENT-ADVANTAGES
Safe, because a Completely Autologous (from the body, back to the body) procedure utilizes the body’s own healing mechanisms.

A procedural based alternative to NSAIDS.

Minimally invasive, requires standard blood draw, centrifugation and processing, and, the same day, to inject the solution into the lesions.

The animals feel more comfortable, most of the times immediately after the procedure and do NOT require NSAIDS.
